New Year Beginnings 2022

Welcome to you all

Every time we enter a New Year we welcome a new beginning. It’s a time when we can hopefully celebrate and release the past while looking forward to whats to come and with that I wish you a healthy, happy and peaceful 2022.

Hopefully by now you have set your intentions. You can begin your practice of the year with a moment to revisit and honour, reflect and think about applying wisdom, using experience you have gained and set yourself up for better alignment and expansive growth for this new time. It’s also an opportunity to recognise any fears as they come up when you take steps towards your dreams or intentions and to move through those fears with confidence. You know whats best for you, so follow your intuition and forge your authentic path this year.

During this period of time we look to assist our kidneys and bladder, seeking inner warmth for ultimate protection during the winter months. In your physical practice include twists, back bends, forward bends and hip openers as well as warming pranayama. Try to eat seasonally when possible and include warming foods like soups, wholegrain, roasted nuts, dark beans and winter greens which all help in fortifying the kidneys and boost the immune system.

If you enjoy using pure essential oils, you might like to include Jasmine, Chamomile, Lemon, Sandalwood and Bergamot.

I always say to everyone, trust my recommendations but always act on your own instincts, remember how important those little pauses are for self care, go steady as we continue to grow with compassion and curiosity, have gratitude for each day as it comes and enjoy moment to moment.

‘May you have a warm heart, open hands and a creative mind. May you experience inspiration and brilliance, clarity and focus. May you laugh richly and deeply. May you circle and celebrate. May you change and grow. May that which is waiting to be unlocked, be freed. And may you soar with the knowing, that you are carried by a great wind across the sky’.
