So here we are, end of October (31st), beginning of November Northern Hemisphere…….

All of life is part of a cycle and here we acknowledge the new beginning in the midst of endings. There is a new power to life as we nurture new dreams and new seeds in the dark.  By accepting this period of rest we find rejuvenation and renewal.  This is not a time for action, but a time to drift, to dream, to vision and remember.  It is a time for meditation and welcoming inner stillness, for long term plans and for nourishing our spirit.  Here as the old year ends and the darkness of winter begins, we welcome the opportunity for a new start as we incubate and strengthen our hopes for the new year.  Traditionally, it is an opportunity to honour our ancestors and embrace our roots.

This season is a time of endings and rest.  It is a place between the worlds where past, present and future exist simultaneously to rest until renewal.  The challenge of the season initiated by this night is to simply enter a place of stillness and try to be where you are, not moving forward or backward but simply being utterly present, suspended in the space between past and future.  It is here we listen to the voices in the cracking fire, rain and wind.  We enter the dark season of the year to dream and remember before we begin to make our return after winter solstice!

Sit quietly, draw awareness to your breath, become intimate with the flow, each in breath, a new beginning and each out breath a complete letting go……

I would like to thank Anita, Cynthia, Debbie, Jo, Pauline, Sue, Tracey and Valerie for joining me as we chanted the house down during a mornings Rainbow Workshop.  A lovely  colourful few hours spent with a group of fabulous people enjoying the flow of theory and practice together.  Blessings to you all for making it happen!

Update on Head Space sessions starting next month.  A time for ‘you’, time ‘out’, to relax, rejuvenate, re-energise, ground and re-connect.  I will be guiding through several techniques ranging from relaxation, meditations, mindfulness and many breathing techniques to total bliss.  The idea is that you turn up, lie down,  and ‘chill-ax’   The sessions will be 45 minutes, although the space is provided for an hour so you haven’t got to simply get up and go, you can ease yourself into the flow of leaving…………until the next time!  It really is a special time all for you, some TLC, you can bring your mats, blankets, a cushion or even pillow, a candle, any extra layers and your yoga blocks.  We are all busy and it really is important to allow yourself  to switch off.  I will be holding these sessions every last Thursday in the month, from 6.15-7.00pm, the first one starting Thursday 29th November, I will let you know where, once the venue has been confirmed to me, so keep watching my website or contact me in the usual way.  The December session will be Thursday 20th, due to the Christmas Holidays and each will be £5.50.  Think of it as, your space, and look forward to the moment each months end!

My next workshop is Saturday December 15th at the lovely Broom Hall.  It is a total chill out just before Christmas.  The morning is from 9.00am to 1.00pm, there will be refreshments and a goody bag provided.  Cost is £28 if you are an ‘early bird’ booking before 15 November and thereafter it is £30.  As always places are limited.
